During EP #14, I recommended the Mile High Manhattan and La Vie En Rogue.

I like to use Grand Marnier in my crème brûlée, but it wasn't until recently that I decided to try it in cocktails. The Mile High Manhattan is a sexy twist on the classic Manhattan, and La Vie En Rogue straddles the line between cool sophistication and warm, festive goodness. Celebrate the weekend, and this week's EP of The Vodka Press, with one (or both) of these cocktails.

  • 1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice

Top Five for Episode #14: Top Five Indie Women's Media

Kit Bangles's Wicked Find for this week's EP is The Riveter (therivetermagazine.com).

The Riveter founders Joanna Demkiewicz & Kaylen Ralph sum it up best on their 'About' page:

"The Riveter is a magazine that celebrates narratives and longform journalism by women. ...We don’t believe in stories that can be summed up in a sell line. ...These stories are written by women, and they are for everyone to consume. We also profile these women writers who are not getting appropriate mainstream recognition. We foster a space for these powerful discourses to mingle. This is riveting content."

After reading some of their articles, we have to agree - The Riveter has truly riveting content.
