This week on The Vodka Press, we got our geek on (again). So when cocktail time rolled around, I wanted to recommend cocktails perfect for when you're geeking out with friends.

La La Lola (according to saveur.com)
  • 1 pint Pitted cherries
  • 2 oz Rye whiskey
  • 3 cups Cola
  • 1 tsp Fresh lemon juice

St. Rita (according to liquor.com)
  • 1.5 oz Tequila
  • 1.5 oz St-Germain
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt*
*Note: They say to just rim the glass with salt. However, when I recreated this cocktail at home, I found it still a little too sweet so I mixed the salt into it - and then it was perfect (for my taste buds). So play around with this drink until it tastes good to you.

The Geekery episode was a pretty fun episode for me. I got to learn a lot about a culture that I know a limited amount about. As I was doing research, I repeatedly came across the same point over and over: Geeks are better in bed, and judging from the reasoning I don't see how this can't be true. Here's why:

www.forevergeek.com
#5. They aren't judgmental: They aren't going to tell you that particular lingerie makes your thighs look fat or that you're doing it wrong. Nope this is a judgment free zone. You can sit back, relax, and enjoy yourself with whatever your into - whether it be dressing up as princess Leia, or reenacting that sexy video game scene.

#4. They're into stimuli: They've had a lot of practice with stimuli so giving them something to stimulate shouldn't be that much of a jump, right?

#3. They concentrate: There's no doubt about it. Geeks can concentrate and concentrate HARD. And sometimes, that's half the battle when you're looking to get off.

#2. They're into role play: You'll meet lots of potential partners who have mixed feelings about doing a little role playing. Not geeks. They're free, they're fun, and they can come up with endless scenarios to keep it spicy in the bedroom. (Although some might need a little research to keep up with).

#1. TVP's Resident self-described geek Zoe Grimm. Enough said.
