Sophia Loren was (and still is) a gorgeous woman. And the cocktail named after her? It's just as lovely. The Sophia Loren cocktail was created by Alexander Rodoman, winning him the IBA Longdrink Competition in 2011. It's a heavily garnished cocktail - certainly worthy of its glamorous namesake - but the drink tastes (and looks) just as good without all the fixings.
Sophia Loren (according to iba-world.com)- 5 cl Absolut Citron Vodka
- 2 cl De Kuyper Sour Rhubarb
- 3 cl Monin Fruit Smoothie Mango
- 1 cl Monin Caramel
- 1 cl Lime juice, fresh
- 3 cl Perrier
- Garnish w/ Cape Gooseberry, lime, carrot, radish & lemon grass
Beautiful Strange Girl
- 1 pt DeKuyper® Pucker® Berry Fusion Schnapps Liqueur
- 2 pt Grey Goose vodka
- 1 pt pomegranate juice concentrate (*I used Pom 100% Pomegranate Juice Concentrate)
- Orange zest
- Splash of sparkling water
