Move over diamonds and vibrators - shoes may truly be a girl's best friend. A recent poll from Shoebuy.com found that "one in five girlfriends is more turned on by her shoes than by [her boyfriend's] sex moves. Husbands fare slightly better– only one in six of their wives prefer footwear to sex."

Who says comic books can't be sexy, smart, and feminist? SEX CRIMINALS, "published by Image Comics, is an honest and nondiscriminatory satire of modern sex...that understands modern sexuality enough to write its female protagonist into sexual situations normally and unfairly reserved for male characters." Creators Matt Faction and Chip Zdarsky are "interested in developing multi-dimensional female characters, instead of using them as arousing images or simply to empower...male characters."
Girls Gone Tech
Want to inspire young women to pursue careers in science, tech, and math? Consider sending them on a trek - a Tech Trek. Based in California, Tech Trek is "a camp to get girls [going into eighth grade] motivated to pursue their academic passions" (in those fields).
Google's at it again: they "promised to do all it can to recruit more women into Silicon Valley, and now the company is putting its money where its PR is. On Thursday, it launched a $50 million initiative to teach young girls how to code." Their site www.madewithcode.com "includes coding projects, stories from female technology role models and resources for parents."
