Top Five for Episode #27: 5 Ways to Lean In

#5. Don't be afraid to dream big

#4. Explore, don't climb
Gone are the days of "climbing the corporate ladder". Sandberg insists you shouldn't focus on moving up but rather explore opportunities in all directions. Forging a unique path will present you with a better chance for fulfillment.

#3. Seek and speak the truth
Honesty in communication is the best kind of communication. Learning to communicate in an honest manner without hurting anyone's feelings will be an invaluable skill. Seek people who are honest with you about your abilities as well. It is the only way to improve them.

#2.  Know that you can't do it all
There's a difference between leaning in and trying to take on too much. Take stock of what you want in life, in your career, in your home life, and in your romantic life. Decide what you are willing to sacrifice and what you are willing to protect. You'll never be able to have it all.

#1. Speak up and work together
Share your experiences and encourage others to share theirs. Be happy for other people's success just like you'd hope that they would be happy for yours. Learning to work together instead of against each other is an invaluable skill.
