Episode #10 Top Five: Top Five Tips for Making Your New Years Resolution Stick.

Every year we make loads of resolutions that seem to die out in the first month or so. This year, let's make resolutions and make them stick. Here's five tips to doing so:

#5 - Want it - Figure out what it is you really want and make that your resolution. You don't simply have to make a resolution just because it's new years.

#4 - Get Support or realize where you are not getting support - Changing habits are hard. One of the best things you can do is get the support of your friends, families, or co-workers. It's a lot easier to accomplish something when you have people who are rooting for you to succeed. Likewise, make not of what situations are working against you or not supporting your goal and seek to make necessary changes.

#3 - Don't just have a goal - create a plan - Saying that you want to do something is a good step in the right direction, but actually accomplishing something takes planning. Before New Years map out a plan of exactly how you are going to achieve your resolution. What needs to be changed? What new steps are you going to take? How will you know when you achieve your goal?

#2 - Understand that habits are hard to break - It's called a habit for a reason. Breaking them are not an easy task and are going to take a lot of hard work, especially mentally. As human beings we are creatures of habit and seek comfort in repetition. Keep this in mind and don't get down if you aren't accomplishing your goal as fast as you thought you would - keep at it.

#1 - Be realistic - I've heard a lot of people make some outrageous goals and while I commend them for swinging for the fences - try and be realistic. If your goal is to star in a major motion picture and you've never acted a day in your life, try starting with something smaller first. Resolve to take an acting class, start building an acting resume, and to make connections. You'll be on your way to that larger goal in no time.

See you guys next year!
