Episode #03 Chaser: The Perks of Dating a Bartender

eHarmony, that lovely online dating site, has, it would seem, stepped into publishing articles on its eHarmony Advice blog.

Some of them aren’t half bad.

“15Reasons to Date a Bartender” is actually quite good.

I’ve been tending bar for 3 years.  I have seen it all.  I have done most of it.  I have reveled in the glory and cried at the frustration.  I have called cops, had angry wives on the phone, been asked out by so many people who don’t remember it the next day it’s insulting, and yet:  I love it.

Dating people in the service industry can be tough.  Hours are long, nights are longer, your partner is often the object of boozy come-ons and inappropriate comments. 

Flirting is part of our job. We don’t always come home when we say we will, we have a lot of friends of the opposite sex and for the most part, we drink kind of regularly.

Or, you know, I guess you could say a lot.

But this list is a wonderful breakdown of why dating the boy or girl behind the bar can be a great decision.
