Drink Recipes for Episode #04: Sea Breeze and Fit & Fine Female

Finding a cocktail that's kind to your waist - and still tastes good - can be a challenge. I had my work cut out for me, but the drinks I picked for this week are perfect (in a fashion).

During EP#04, I recommended the Sea Breeze and one of our own concoctions, the Fit & Fine Female.

The Sea Breeze is a gem at just under 200 calories, it manages to be both light and satisfying. (And, in my opinion, it tastes better than a higher calorie Cosmopolitan.)

Sea Breeze (according to the IBA site)
  •  4 cl Vodka
  • 12 cl Cranberry juice
  • 3 cl Grapefruit juice

If you're in the mood to be a little naughty, the Fit & Fine Female is just the drink for you. Park farther away from the store's door, do some heavy-lifting while shopping, and reward yourself afterwards with this delicious cocktail.

Fit & Fine Female
  • 1 ½ part Stoli Sticki vodka
  • 1 part orange juice (made from thawed frozen concentrate + water)
  • garnish with orange zest
  • *rim the glass w/ finely crushed pecan sandies or graham crackers
*Note: In a food processor, crush cookies until they resemble a fine powder. Pour the cookie powder into a saucer or flat plate. Moisten the rim of the glass with a wedge of lemon. Hold the glass by the stem and dip it into the cookie powder at an angle, rotating until you get the entire outer rim covered. Then pour the cocktail mixture in and enjoy!
